The owner, Tom Boisvert, was born and raised

in the Kankakee area and has a vested interest

in this community.  At the young age of 11

years old he was a permanent fixture at the

family owned  Locksmith business.  In the early

1970's he worked as a Locksmith and

transitioned to a fulltime employee after

 graduating from Bishop McNamara in 1977.

In November 1981 Protection Associates

was created.  Both Tom Boisvert and

his brother, Mike, made a decision

that this community not only needed the

physical "Lock and Key" type security

but needed to expand there horizons and

establish a business that would focus

on the customers needs in electronic security.

With a strong background in business,

 obtained from Kankakee Community

College, many years of practical

experience, a multitude of hours of bench

testing and analyzing many products

over the last 25+ years Tom Boisvert knows

Protection Associates is the right choice

Protection Associates started with the

Radionics products in the early 1980's.

Radionics transitioned to Bosch which

is one of the primary mainstays for our

company.  We hope you enjoy our website.
